Running Our Race

Running Our Race

Hebrews 12:1-2

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Praise the Lord, people of God!

This passage of scripture was very recently discussed in a theology class I am taking.

The phrase that was pertinent to me had to do with running with endurance the race that is set before us. That is so where I am right now! What has God called me to do, (what has He called YOU to do?), and am I cooperating with God?? We are to be fixed having within our sights, what our goal is. And God almighty! Make sure the "goal" is from God. There is a peace that comes when one realizes that if he or she is in God's perfect will, Come what may, " I am right where God wants me. Things may seem odd, but God will get the glory out of this situation." The secret things belong to God, and He is handling every aspect of your surrendered and obedient life. What are you worried about? Run your race! A race is hard and a race requires something. There will be exertion, energy expended, you may think you have "hit the wall". It takes much endurance. But hold on, your second breath is coming! And that is a Divine Breath, another Helper: Holy Spirit. What a blessing to know we do not run our race on our own. I have been having thoughts of staying in my lane, doing what God has called me to do, in concert with Abba Father and others I am assigned to in co-ministry or to actually minister to. That's it! All else is in God's hands. He IS God and I am not. The freedom within the borders or parameters of entering into his rest is awesome. There is liberty within the boundaries of God and is Word! The more I obey Him, the more freedom I have. The goal and his will for our lives is in that Word! In order for the specifics of YOUR race which is set before you to come to pass, keep pressing into deeper, fuller relationship with Him, and obey Him. Keep the focus, run your race! We are not competing one with another. It's all we can do to keep ourselves on track by the Spirit of God! But we ARE a team. The Body of Christ, fitly joined together, each part working properly, builds the body up in love. So, as I do what I am to do for God and you do what YOU are to do for God, we all benefit. A built-up body runs a better "race" from the greeter at the door to the set-man or woman. And God gets the glory! Our scripture says this brings him joy and it is because it is a reflection of Him. God loves to see you run your God-ordained race! Let's purpose to do just that! God is cheering us on...... Amen.

Theme One: The Kingdom

Theme One: The Kingdom

Kingdom greetings!

The sixth-grade reading anthology for my students is broken down into six themes. The stories within fit themes such as "Growing Up" or "Courage"( Those themes might be good for US, too). Abba seems to have a "theme" in effect. I have re-read some of my postings and teachings and I see a common thread of The Kingdom running through them. The Kingdom of God within and living/ministering out of the Kingdom is what Abba has been emphasizing. I wrote HE has put the emphasis on the Kingdom! Theme One: The Kingdom. When I teach my students I am either introducing a new skill/concept or they are expected to master a concept they were introduced to in a previous grade. I may have to re-teach, refresh, spiral back and/or practice said skill. But I am to keep at it, as are my students. No Child Left Behind. In a way, that is what Abba Father is doing as he sometimes has me re-visit The Kingdom in some way. He wants us to really get it in our spirits. You may be asking, "Why?". Because it is long past time to come out of spiritual elementary school and graduate into The Kingdom. Are we not ready to do the "greater works" promised us?

John 14:12

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greaterworks than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Abba Father has much to teach us but are we ready? He is nudging us onward to a deeper and fuller maturity:

Hebrews 6:1-3 (Amplified Bible)

THEREFORE LET us go on and get past the elementary stage in the teachings and doctrine of Christ (the Messiah), advancing steadily toward the completeness and perfection that belong to spiritual maturity. Let us not again be laying the foundation of repentance and abandonment of dead works (dead formalism) and of the faith [by which you turned] to God, With teachings about purifying, the laying on of hands, the resurrection from the dead, and eternal judgment and punishment. [These are all matters of which you should have been fully aware long, long ago.] If indeed God permits, we will [now] proceed [to advanced teaching].

I do not know about you, but I want God to advance and mature me! If The Teacher says review and re-teach, so be it. Abba Father is saying seek out The Kingdom! I am purposed to post or write out teachings that He drops in my spirit, and this is the theme. The Kingdom is foundational for what we are called to do in this world:

Luke 9:1 - 3

Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

Let us obey God and pursue the release of The Kingdom of God within. In Jesus' name, Amen!

It IS a Wonderful Life

It IS a Wonderful Life

Peace be with you!

“Strange isn’t it? Each man’s life touches so many other lives. When he isn’t around he leaves an awful hole, doesn’t he?”- Clarence Odbody the guardian angel from the movie classic, “ It’s a Wonderful Life”. This holiday favorite is shown every year so I had NOT seen it in a while by choice. It was fresh again. That line by Clarence hit home tonight because Abba has been dealing with me even this week about life. Each of us has a God- purpose that we alone can fulfill. George, the main character in It’s a Wonderful Life wished he had never been born. He was so inundated with money, employment, and family problems, he wanted to end it all. It was not until he saw the impact of his absence from lives he had touched and positively influenced in word and deed, that he appreciated his humble life. Problems and all! When he reached the end of his rope he cried out to God, “show me the way”, and God answered his prayer. He showed him that you may not be super rich monetarily, but you DO have health, strength, wife, children, family, loyal friends, food, clothing, shelter, and opportunities for the miraculous! When all was said and done he was deemed, “ The richest man in town”. That is just a fictional story, but that was a truth. We all touch many other lives, and there is much to be thankful for. We are rich toward God! And God wants to use us right where we are in word and deed! When God told me this week, “Don’t just exist, live your life” it was a reminder to be who I am in Christ Jesus and to “live generously”. The release is there. Just Go! And that is a God thing:

Matthew 5:48 (The Message)

"In a word, what I'm saying is, Grow up. You're kingdom subjects. Now live like it. Live out your God-created identity. Live generously and graciously toward others, the way God lives toward you."

Grow-up! Be open and available. When we do this, “ live generously”, He sends people for us to “touch” with our God-infused lives. I am ministering to a lady I met in the grocery store through prayer for her sick sister. She is “ So happy” about God, as she sees her sister “feeling better” beginning to eat and recover her ability and desire to get out of bed . Father is sending complete strangers and all I had to do is live generously and point them to Jesus. He is doing the healing bless His name! Therein, is the “wonderful life” we are called to, as workers together with God. There is nothing like a praise report to encourage one! You may be thinking, “ Yes, but you are a minister, a prophetess. Look at what scripture says:

2 Corinthians 5:18 (Amplified Bible)

But all things are from God, Who through Jesus Christ reconciled us to Himself [received us into favor, brought us into harmony with Himself] and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation [that by word and deed we might aim to bring others into harmony with Him].

We have been given the “ministry of reconciliation" and we are “ambassadors for Christ” (vs. 20). THAT is a wonderful life! You need to know who you are in Christ Jesus, your “God-created identity”. If you do not know, ask Abba Father to reveal it to you. We are not here just existing! There is nothing more meaningful and fulfilling than touching another’s life for, and as led by, the Lord. It’s a wonderful life! I believe in the upcoming year Abba is requiring MORE from the people of God. It is NOT about us. It is all about Jesus! And His ultimate concern is souls in the balance. Abba has me to know my stuff is handled, now go out on assignment as it were, ready to be used whenever, wherever He says. God is looking for obedient, anointed folk like that, simply available. As we approach 2011, I want my testimony to be one of “It’s a wonderful life” because I am fulfilling Abba’s plans and purposes for my life. Don’t you? We are all in that process. We are not here just to “exist”, but to live our lives, or more specifically, to let Him live HIS life through us. It is very meaningful and exciting to “live generously” by touching others lives. Let us allow the space/”hole” we are to fill with our lives, to be filled to overflowing with the Presence of God Who dwells in us. Our very presence is to be a blessing! In doing so, we are more alive with the life of God. Amen.

It IS a wonderful life!

Ministry, Friendship, and Fellowship

Posted on January 16, 2018 at 4:40 PM

Praise Him!

Today was a day of co-ministry and rich Word. Be instant in season

and out of season! You never know WHEN Abba Father will call on you to be of service. Beyond that are the friendships that Abba Father is developing. I am thankful for godly friendship and fellowship. It is the icing on the cake of ministry and Divine connections. If Our Father in heaven brings a saint into your life discern, even in that, if it is someone with whom you can walk out your Christian path.

Iron sharpens iron and that is a good thing! I'm thankful for people of like same faith, but yet fun to "hang out" with! Good friends round out one's life. God bless you, and remember if you would have friends, you must show yourself friendly.

I am praying that you have the abundant life!

WHAT is "sola scriptura'?

Posted on January 16, 2018 at 10:50 AM

Grace, mercy, and peace,

You may or may not have a question about the phrase''"sola scriptura" I have in the footer of the Arnion Ministries website. Here is the definition:

Question: "What is sola scriptura?"

Answer: The phrase sola scriptura is from the Latin: sola having the idea of “alone,” “ground,” “base,” and the word scriptura meaning “writings”—referring to the Scriptures. Sola scriptura means that Scripture alone is authoritative for the faith and practice of the Christian. The Bible is complete, authoritative, and true. “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16).

The phrase means just what it says - scripture only. Bible only! Scripture is the foundation for my life, and I base the things I share with you on biblical principals. The Word of God NEVER fails and is full of life. We can have faith in the Truth of the Word!

Thankful for Another Year

Posted on January 16, 2018 at 10:50 AM

Kingdom greetings, Beloved of God!

Today is my birthday and I just want to thank God for another year! This has been a year of enlarging of the tent. That implies pulling up stakes, stretching of the tent and hammering in at new postitons. Through it all Abba Father was ,and is, in control. My birthday gift is my deepening relationship with Him. Every breath we take is a gift! I am grateful for new mercies today. Thank you, Jesus: God's Perfect Gift! Blessings to you all.

Two Days of the Glory of God

Posted on January 16, 2018 at 10:45 AM

Praise the Lord! I am just returning from The Chosen Women's Conference 2010. I tell you it was a blessing of God! God was with us from beginning until the end. Elder Gentry Richardson, Jr. powerfully ministered Friday night, his wife, Evangelist Denise Richardson, Evangelist Kathleen Jackson, (all from Bethelem Temple Church in Los Angeles), Prophetess Shelley Taylor, and I,("Morning Manna: "Have You Lost Your Appetite for God?") ministered Saturday. It blessed me to see the unity in the Spirit as I noted the confirmations between each speaker's message. That is because the Spirit of God spoke and ministered to His people through His vessels, (I glory in the Lord). Elder Gentry said it felt " like we had a week of ministry "in that very short day and a half. That is how anointed the ministry was. Truly we will never be the same. There was quality ministry, rich Word and hungry/thirsty hearts. For we had a visitation from God. That is not always the case. It is a testimony to the CW founder and humble servant of God, Evangelist Lisa Mitchell. The excellence with which the conference was presented honors God. But, the main thing was, souls were ministered to, and the coup de grace and seal of God's approval, is that a soul was baptized in Jesus' name. Glorrrrry! The Holy Spirit had free reign in the midst of Divine order. His Sprit was not quenced for there was liberty in the Spirit. I am humbled to have been a part and my spirt is leaping tonight as I ponder God's move at the CW Conference. Thank you, dear ones for your prayers! A special thanks to my pastor and First Lady, Pastor Royce and Marnisha Butler for prayer support and an encouraging note this morning. I give God the glory for the things He has done. New friendships are being forged and old friendships are being girded up with the goal being that God be glorified! I am already looking forward to next year's conference, if the Lord says the same. Enjoy the CW 2010 Conference HIGHLIGHTS at http://chosenwomen.weebly.com

Peace,

Prophetess Vickie

Blessings!

Despise Not Small Beginnings

Posted on January 16, 2018 at 10:15 AM

I am checking the "Insights Blog "frequently. No one has responded as of yet, ( except little ol' me;0). But I am okay with that. Everything here is so new. Still I must handle this website as though there IS a comment or two,( or more!) to which I must respond. Our whole Christian walk, especially those called to ministry is a process. One must start somewhere, correct? There must be a beginning to things. I just must know I am being led of God. And I beleive I am. I am enjoying what Abba is doing. This is fun! I will look at this as practice. And I will not despise "small beginnings".

DOING His Good Pleasure

Posted on January 16, 2018 at 10:15 AM

Praise Him! And welcome to the first blog entry for Arnion Ministries. The title is apt, because this blog and website are both new, and I pray that I am following Father's will and doing His "good pleasure". I am in a situation where I am learning as I go, so please bear with me as navigate, one friend called "uncharted waters". I do believe this is a branch of ministry. It is my hope that we can share, reflect, ponder, encourage and learn from one another in a Godly atmosphere on this blog. This is a very exciting time! Yes, Christianity and ministry can be exciting. Now. Please share, if you will, about a time when you stepped out on the waters, following God into new arenas, but sure you where he was working in you both to will and do HIS good pleasure. Or maybe you are mid-stream, as i am with this website. Share with us.
